Dental dam is used in dentistry to isolate the operative site from the rest of the mouth.

INTENDED USE OF DENTAL DAMS

  • Prevent saliva interfering with the dental work.
  • There is some evidence that on using dental dam, the dental restorations last longer; owing to clean and dry operating field that allow maximum bond strength between adhesives/cements, enamel and dentin.
  • Decrease contamination of oral micro-organisms in saliva during dental procedure.
  • Decrease instruments, filling materials, tooth fragments and debris from falling into patient’s throat, swallowed or damaging the mouth.
  • More comfortable since there is no water in the mouth and more dissociated from the noise of drilling etc.

Product Features and Specifications (Natural Rubber Latex)

  • Made from 100% pure natural rubber latex.
  • Smooth surface, non-sterile, for single use.
  • Colour : Green, Blue, Black, Pastel Blue, Pastel Green, Pink, Purple.
  • Flavour : Mint, Plain
  • Tear Resistance: >45N/mm
  • Powder content: Less than 2 mg/sheet
  • Extractable Protein Content: Below FDA allowable claim limit of 50ug/g
  • Storage condition: Store in cool, dry place, below 40ºC (104ºF), away from heat and direct sunlight.
  • Shelf Life : 5 years from date of manufacturing
